Pada saat itu, Tuan Yang memperlihatkan Dam Ryung sosok putri duyung yang baru ditangkap dan diberi nama Sim Chung (Gianna Juni). Tetapi pada saat itu pun Dam Ryung merasa kasihan kemudian melepaskan putri duyung tersebut kelaut, sebelum putri duyung tersebut berenang menjauh, Sim Chung mendekati Dam Ryung yang sedang berada di perahu kemudian Sim Chung dan Dam Riung saling berpegangan tangan sebentar, mungkin itu untuk simbol salam perpisahan.
Beberapa abad kemudian, Joon-Jae (Lee Min-Ho) dia seorang penipu yang lihay dengan ucapannya yang halus dipadukan dengan keahlian sulapnya. Dia bekerja dengan Nam-Doo (Lee Hee-Joon) dan Tae-O (Shin Won-Ho). Pada saat itu mereka mendapatkan target untuk di tipu, Joon-Jae menyamar menjadi seorang jaksa untuk menipu seorang ibu rumah tangga kaya raya yang menjadi tersangkadalam sebuah kasus. Setelah penipuannya berhasil Joon-Jae pergi ke luar negeri dan meninap di sebuah resor oceanside. Sementara itu, Sim Chung tersapu dalam gelombang pasang dan terdampar di dekat resor oceanside. Dia pun melihat Joon-Jae.
